Harry Kane has been rated as a better striker than fellow Premier League marksmen Erling Haaland and Marcus Rashford.

Now Tottenham’s all-time top scorer, Kane is a legend of the club, and could soon break Alan Shearer’s league goal record too.

In Europe’s top five leagues this season, only Manchester City’s Haaland and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen have more goals than Kane’s 18, with the England captain near the top of the charts since emerging at Spurs.

Kane has three Premier League Golden Boots to his name, often battling Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah for top honours, but now there’s two more rivals.

City’s Haaland is a whopping nine goals ahead, while Manchester United’s Rashford four behind and fast approaching.

Rashford, who has been on fire since the season restarted after the World Cup, has already achieved his best goalscoring season, having netted 25 goals in 39 overall appearances.

Both of those players have youth in their favour over 29-year-old Kane, but former Crystal Palace and Newcastle midfielder Darren Ambrose says there’s no debate when it comes to an all-round striker.

The talkSPORT host explained: “I was asked who would you take right now, Haaland, Rashford or Kane?

“I’m maybe being a little bit biased as a Spurs supporter but I’m still taking Kane to lead the line for me.

“I think in terms of a football player, he’s the best out of all three of those.

“Harry Kane’s goals are incredible, and his assists, his all-round play is remarkable.”
