A plastic surgeon who calls himself ‘The breastmaster’ has bought a rundown block of flats in North Bondi for $7.1m, $600,000 over the reserve.

Dr Michael Miroshnik, who operates from Bondi Junction and sold his Vaucluse house for $36.5m in 2019, entered the bidding late at Thursday night’s auction for the seven flats at 11 Clyde St.

Ray White Double Bay’s Warren Ginsberg, auctioneer James Keenan and conjunction agent Ric Serrao of Raine and Horne, looked to have four active parties, with the bidding starting slowly from $5m and rising in $100,000 increments.

The agents didn’t want to discuss the identity of the late bidder, but sources confirmed it was indeed the high-profile surgeon.

Is this Sydney’s best house?

The block of flats looks to be a savvy investment for a cashed-up investor, with the six two-bedders and one-bedder ripe for a reno.

The marketing suggests the two-storey block, on 757sqm, has potential for a third storey to capitalise on views.

The apartments also come with off-street parking for nine vehicles — priceless in this neck of the woods.

The flats are owned by Suzanne Grunberg, who, according to property records, inherited them from the late Gizy Grunberg in 2005.

Vaucluse house sells for $26m+

The strong result is somewhat of a reversal of fortune for Suzanne Grunberg, who was in the news in March after a Vaucluse house that she’d sold for $10.9m in 2020, was re-sold for more than $26m.

The new owner had done nothing to it in less than two years, except get a D.A for a new house.

Prices were supposed to go down during Covid, remember? If only we could turn back time.
